On Ignorance as Remedy

Struck by the happiness of this poor creature, I returned to my philosopher.

"Are you not ashamed," I said, "to be thus miserable—when not fifty yards from you an old laborer sits content, thinking of nothing?"

He turned his face toward the window, toward that distant figure.

"You are right," he said. "I have told myself a thousand times: I should be happy, were I but as ignorant as my neighbor."

He paused.

The afternoon light fell slant across his books, his instruments, his unanswered letters.

"—it is a happiness I do not desire."

अयमात्मा ब्रह्म

Ayam Ātmā Brahma

A quiet space where Vedānta, rigorous science, and clear thinking meet.

A simple Vedānta notebook. No preaching. Only experiencing — anubhava.

This site springs from the mahāvākya Ayam Ātmā Brahma—this very Atman is Brahman. It operates on the conviction that clarity is devotion. Here, we explore Upaniṣadic Vedānta using the tools of science and philosophy: precise definitions, clear arguments, and honest dialogue. There are no competing knowledge systems. Truth is singular. All comes from the One.
